Care & Support
CALLED TO LOVE
Whether you are looking for care and support, a place to grow in your faith or an opportunity to serve the community – we can help you find your fit and connect with others who share your interests.
BAPTISMS
Baptism is the official and sacred celebration of the fact that God chooses us. Through the Sacrament of Baptism we are initiated into Christ’s Holy Church. We are incorporated into God’s mighty acts of salvation and given new birth through water and the Spirit. All this is God’s gift, offered to us without price.
FUNERALS
When the death has occurred, our pastors and staff would also be honored to provide the service for your loved one here at the church, at the funeral home, or at the graveside depending on the family’s decision. Christ is our hope for eternal life and we offer this hope to the surviving family and friends that their beloved is now in God’s eternal charge.
WEDDINGS
On behalf of the VHMC church family, let us be among the first to congratulate you on your decision to enter into marriage! At Vestavia Hills Methodist Church our goal in being involved in your wedding is two-fold: We’re committed to helping you plan not only for a beautiful wedding day, but for a successful and fulfilling life together as a married couple.
CONGREGATIONAL CARE

CARE GROUPS
Life is full of different stages and situations that require love and support. That’s why our care groups are such a vital part to the life of this community. Whether you want to join a group or serve in a group, these are just a few of the ways we share Christ’s love for all of us.
PRAYER REQUEST
If you have a prayer request, we’d love to pray for you. Your prayer requests are highly sensitive and only shared with ministers and our prayer team unless you specify otherwise. We are with you at this time of need.

PRAYER CHAPEL
This beautiful, intimate chapel provides the perfect setting for a quiet time of prayer. Located on the Kentucky Ave. side of the building, the chapel is open 24/7 to anyone needing a place to connect with God.
