Recreation

We stay active here at Vestavia Methodist. If you are looking to join an engaging fitness class, exercise on your own time, or plug your kids into Upward, then this is the place for you. Come get moving with us.

EXERCISE CLASSES

Accountability is a strong component to staying in shape for many people. That’s why VHMC offers a variety of classes/groups that you can jump into with your friends. Whether it is a personal trainer or a running group, we have something to meet your fitness goals.

WEIGHT ROOM & FITNESS CENTER

Our work out facility offers several ways to stay in shape. We have 4 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and numerous strength machines (leg extension, leg press, shoulder press, bicep curl, lat pulldown, chest press, abdominal, and triceps extension). Add in some free weights, a few stationary bikes, and you’re good to go.

GYM & TRACK

The walking track is available from 8:00 – 5:00 Monday through Friday. The Lighthouse gym offers the ability to play with friends or make new ones. We have two main stationary goals, plus 4 adjustable side goals.

UPWARD SPORTS

Throughout the year VHMC hosts a myriad of sports and recreational opportunities for your kids. These include soccer, football, basketball and cheerleading. Check back regularly to see what season is coming up next!
