The Year to Serve – November

This month’s theme for the Year to Serve is about thankfulness and gratitude.  There are many ways to practice thankfulness and to be grateful for even the little things in life. We hope this month, the serve opportunities will bless you and your family and those that you will be serving this month.

Our yearly Angel Tree program is back, and this is your chance to bless a child at Christmas.  You can get an Angel and go shopping for our Angel Tree program.  Start your shopping early and make a child’s Christmas this year.

This week’s serve opportunity offers a little bit of sunshine for all that receive it.  Our flower ministry touches the lives of those that might be sick or not able to leave home or the hospital.  Come join our flower ministry team and help re-vase the flowers from the altar on Sunday and deliver to someone in need of a little extra TLC.

This ministry provides the TLC needed to those that are in the hospital or sick.  There is a team of ladies who knit our prayer shawls.  These shawls are later prayed and blessed before they leave the church.  Our prayer shawl team would love to have contributions of yarn to help make the shawls.  Please consider your act of service this week by donating yarn to our Prayer Shawl Ministry Team.

Our fidget mat ministry is one of a kind.  This week you can have the opportunity to help this ministry by donating old placemats and objects to our fidget mat ministry.  This team takes your old “stuff” and turns around and makes the most wonderful Fidget Mats to be distributed to people in our community with memory loss issues.
