Students
Thrive Student Ministries exists to provide an inviting community where students can connect with God, build relationships with each other, and learn to live like Jesus. We seek to do this weekly through events like Sunday School, Prayer Breakfast, and Midweek Worship.
SUNDAY PROGRAMS
Our weekdays are super busy, so that’s why Sunday is such a great time to recenter yourself! Sunday School meets from 9:45 to 10:45 in the Student Ministry Center for games and round table discussion. Once a month THRIVE students gather on Sundays for events such as Dodgeball Tournaments, Cookouts, Worship Nights, etc. to connect with each other.
MIDWEEK PROGRAMS
Wednesdays are jam packed with stuff for students! We kick off the day early with prayer breakfast from 6:30-7:15 in the Fellowship Hall and wrap up the evening with some fun filled worship from 6:00-7:15 in the Assembly Hall.

SMALL GROUPS
Small groups are the heartbeat of our student ministry and the best way for students to create lasting relationships with one another and their mentors. Groups are based on grade and gender and meet once a week at a time that best fits the schedules of the students and leaders. Groups journey together through life, share in each other’s highs and lows, and study the Bible with one another. Contact Kyle for more information.

MISSION OPPORTUNITIES
Serving God through loving others is a part of who we are at Thrive Student Ministries. We want students to have the opportunity to serve God and join in what He is doing in our world each and every day! In order to make that a reality, students will have the opportunity to serve in a variety of ways throughout the year.
CONFIRMATION
Each new year brings with it new opportunities, adventures, and challenges. One of those opportunities for our 6th graders is the Confirmation process! Confirmation is an opportunity to respond to the grace of God available to us, as acknowledged in baptism, and to promise to live as a person of faith.

VOLUNTEERS
If you are interested in joining our team, please let us know! Every event that we have requires people like you to make it happen, so reach out to us if you would like to hear more about our ministry leadership options.
Mel Sparkman Memorial Scholarship
The Mel Sparkman Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in March 2002 to assist deserving students through the award of a general scholarship grant in memory of long-standing church member, Mel Sparkman.
SCOUTING
Since 1958, Troop #4 has called Vestavia Methodist its home as it has built up generations of young men to better serve their community.
