We all have questions about our faith. One opportunity for our 6th graders to explore those questions is through our Confirmation process! Confirmation is an opportunity to respond to the grace of God available to us, as acknowledged in baptism, and to promise to live as a person of faith. During this process, students meet once a month to hear a lesson from one of our clergy and engage in activities within their Confirmation Family Groups to help put the lessons into action. Each family group has one or two mentors who work with and lead the confirmands through discussion questions about their faith, the Bible, and what it means to be a Christian. At Thrive, we strive to make Confirmation a fun and engaging time for students to learn and grow in their relationships with Christ and others.
Midway through the scheduled Confirmation journey, we have a fun weekend retreat where students continue to learn more about themselves, each other, and the United Methodist understanding of faith at an off-site location.
