Life in the Lions Den

Discovery Weekend is a three-day event hosted by Thrive Student Ministries designed for high school students to lead and minister to middle school students. This year, Discovery will be Friday, August 5- Sunday August 7^th with an overnight option for interested students. Throughout the weekend, students will hear messages from senior speakers, participate in D-groups (small groups), and work together to complete mission projects. With life-changing worship experiences, engaging discussions, and fun-filled activities, this is a weekend your child will not want to miss! This event is a special way for students to kick-off the new school year with a faith-filled mindset, receive encouragement from peers and mentors, and explore different ways they can serve the local and global church.

The theme for Discovery 2022 is Life in the Lions’ Den. Throughout the weekend, we will be walking through the book of Daniel and learning how this story can encourage us as we face lions in our own lives. Our hope is that students learn to understand their personal challenges as opportunities to witness God’s faithfulness and grow in faith through their struggles.

The cost for Discovery is $130 and includes all meals, swag, and materials for the weekend. Registration closes on Tuesday, August 3 at 11:59 pm.

Discovery takes a village to make happen. Any way you wish to volunteer and impact Discovery weekend is very much appreciated by our staff and students. We have opportunities for you to volunteer in-person and on-site throughout Discovery weekend, but if you are unable to be in attendance, we would encourage you to prayerfully considering giving to this event.
