Sunday Worship Services

Here at Vestavia Methodist, we believe that worship is not a “one size fits all” experience. Creating space for people to have an authentic encounter with Christ through worship is a key part of who we are as a church. That is why we offer a wide variety of worship services so that you can find the experience that best suits you and your family. Whether you have a sense of belonging in a traditional environment early in the morning or you feel at home worshipping to music led by a praise band, you can come as you are and worship with this community.

Our Traditional services are a bit more formal, usually including a choir, pipe organ, and the old hymns of faith. It is held in our main worship space, the Sanctuary, at 8:30 and 11:00 am, and our ministers often wear robes.

Our Contemporary Service is a bit less formal and is located in our casual worship space, Tyson Hall at 11:00 am. It usually includes a live band, stage lighting, and visual media.

Our church has people from a variety of religious traditions, many of whom enjoy receiving communion weekly. This service is held in our main worship space, the Sanctuary, at 9:45 am, and includes classic hymns accompanied by piano.
